I have exciting news to share. As you know, we don’t stay the same all of our lives. We change!
I hope for the better, right?
Not only do we change as people, we also change as teachers. Since I started Mrs. Waters’ English in 2012, I have changed schools and grade levels. I am completing the process of becoming a National Board Certified Teacher, starting my career as a graduate student in the University of Oklahoma College of Education, and managing a nonprofit to help teachers find writers hidden in their classes.
My school nominated me Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma Teacher of Today. I am not the same teacher today as I was five years ago.
I have partnered with former students and colleagues to create products that will help you better engage and guide your students as they experience authentic, real-world reading and writing projects.
It’s not all about me.
So, I am in the process of transitioning Mrs. Waters’ English to ReThink ELA. You can already access the site through this link, and we'll be phasing out MrsWatersEnglish.com over time.
This transition will take a few weeks as I make business and website changes in the background, and as I change what you see upfront. But as valued readers, I want you to know what to expect.
Right now, the site looks the same, but you’ll soon notice that the graphics and logo will change and the old address will redirect you to the new address. Over the next few months, I’ll display our products more prominently, and adjust the layout of the home page.
Existing content will stay the same, and I will be adding additional topics.
As we work through this transition, you may notice security (SSL) warnings. I will be working with my host to resolve those issues and to make the site as secure as possible for you.
