One Word For 2018: Amplify

My one word for 2018 is amplify. My #reThinkELA goal is to amplify student voices and choices.

I will work towards the goal of amplifying student voices — both in and out of the classroom — by continuing to hone my craft through continuing education. reflecting on my practices, and listening to student feedback. That last one is the most important.

I will seek other teachers on this same journey to learn from and to partner with in the interests of helping students learn, helping them see their own value, and helping them become confident in their abilities to succeed in the outside world.

How about you? What is your #oneword2018?
